Traditional plastic coolant hoses are inexpensive… But that’s only true at first glance, because when you factor in how often they need to be replaced—at least partially—and, above all, when you factor in the frustration they cause… they’re very, very expensive… 😉

STW VAK “LH” metal coolant hoses are extremely robust and durable. They are made of stainless steel (1.4305) and welded at the joints. This allows them to be used at virtually any temperature (–100°C to +300°C) and withstand immense pressures (up to 100 bar!!!).
The biggest advantage over conventional coolant hoses, however, is that VAK HL = “Hard-Locked” coolant hoses—which are firmly screwed in place and securely connected by captive union nuts—are not dislodged by vibration or by unbroken chips that form a clump inside the machining tool. The coolant jet remains reliably oriented in the set direction. This even allows the VAK-LH system to be used as an adjustable mounting solution or as individually adjustable “hooks”
The wide “temperature tolerance” is particularly crucial when the “Locked-Hard” articulated hose system is used for the targeted blowing of hot or cold air.
