Type TR2 oil drippers are designed for the construction of very simple or very extensive lubrication systems. A constant lubricant supply is required, which can consist of an oil reservoir located above the oil dripper or a lubrication pump that supplies a constant oil pressure. One or more oil drippers can now be connected to this lubricant supply via oil lines in order to throttle and monitor the flow rate to the respective lubrication points. Throttling takes place via a rotatable needle valve. The flow rate is monitored visually via the drop sight glass, which makes it easy to record the number of lubricant drops per time. After the oil drippers, the lubricant is traditionally applied to a chain, for example, using lubricating brushes. Other applicator solutions such as drip needles, lubricating pinions, felt rollers etc. are of course also suitable.
