This is where standard lubrication pinions or lubrication brushes often reach their limits, either because they are not sufficiently temperature-resistant due to the use of plastics or because the PU foam or felt applicator in contact with the chain is not sufficiently resistant to dirt.

STW impulse chain lubrication pinions are used in particularly harsh environmental conditions such as in wood processing, the cement industry and the like, where chips, foreign bodies and heavy soiling in the lubrication area and on the chains cannot be avoided. The robust design of these stainless steel lubrication pinions and the non-contact lubrication principle also make them suitable for use in these applications.

The function:
The STW PIP-Air chain lubricator supplies the chain lubrication sprockets with lubricating oil fully automatically and at precisely adjustable intervals. The lubricating oil is transferred to the chain to be lubricated without contact via a small amount of propellant air, which is also provided by the PIP-Air system. The lubricating oil is applied extremely sparingly only to those parts of the chain that need to be supplied with lubricating oil. At the link plates of the chain, in the area of the pins, sleeves and rollers is the area of the roller chains that is subject to wear due to the movement and load of the chain. The chain is supplied with a grease cushion here, but this often loses its lubricating effect after a relatively short period of operation. In this case, it is necessary to renew the lubricating film again and again with a high-quality chain lubricating oil at regular intervals and as continuously as possible. In this way, the service life of a chain can be increased enormously, which, in addition to the usually moderate costs for a new chain, greatly minimizes the enormous costs for replacing the chains.
