STW lubricating gears for lubricating the tooth flanks on open gears with grease or lubricating oil.
Compared to felt gears, these lubricating gears are particularly wear-resistant, thanks to the selection of highly abrasion-resistant PU foams on the one hand and the technical design of these lubricating gears on the other.
In addition to the actual lubricating gear made of permeable PU foam (01), these lubricating gears are equipped with a metal sleeve (02) with multiple cross-drilled holes, which in turn is fitted with high-quality plastic plain bearings (03). This means that the lubricating pinion runs with the gear wheel movement with virtually no resistance, which reduces wear to a minimum.
This is also the biggest difference to the long-proven felt lubricating gears, which are generally manufactured without plain bearings…

STW lubricating gears are designed with grease channels through which the fresh grease is fed directly to the tooth flanks in order to achieve a good lubricating effect. Ideally, the grease is fed into the lubricating gears in small, regular quantities via a central lubrication system. It is also advisable to use a special lubricating grease for optimum wear prevention.
