High-quality polyamide coaxial hose, specifically designed for STW minimal-quantity lubrication systems. The basic principle of using a micro-metering pump to meter an extremely small amount of lubricating oil and dispense it has the limitation that the amount itself is usually too small to be dispensed as a drop. In addition, this small amount of coolant-lubricant or lubricating oil usually needs to wet a specific surface—such as a drill bit, a milling cutter edge, or even an O-ring that is to be installed in an automated assembly process. These requirements can ideally be met using two-component spray nozzles.
Here, these small amounts of lubricant are dispensed into a precisely regulated air stream and thus ejected in a controlled manner—with minimal mist, yet still atomized. To make this possible, however, the lubricant must be fed from the micro-dosing pump to the spray nozzle separately from the spray air, so that it can be brought together and sprayed in a controlled manner only at the nozzle.
That is exactly what the STW KoX coaxial hose was designed for; it features a coaxial structure with components firmly connected to one another. This means you no longer have to thread a small lubricating oil hose into a larger spray air hose—and then laboriously connect it to the metering pump and the spray nozzle… Simply cut the coaxial hose to length, then insert it into the push-in fittings on the pump and nozzle, and the hose is fully installed. This significantly shortens installation time and saves a tremendous amount of time when replacing a defective hose.
